Michael started his jewellery apprenticeship in 1973 with Denham Neal & Treloar, in Pitt St Sydney. He also worked at Lamberts jewellery in Surrey Hills, Sydney, Cerrone Jewellers, Liechart Sydney, he then moved to Port Macquarie, NSW, and worked for Rohrs Jewellers, he then travelled further north to work at Sunstate Jewellers, Caloundra. Michael then moved to Lismore, NSW & worked for Pinkertons Jewellers Lismore & Diamond Jewellery Goonellabah, NSW. After many years in Lismore he then moved Byron Bay where he worked for Satarius. In-between some of those positions Michael has always been accessible freelancing, creating his own designs & making commissioned pieces. Michael now resides in the bush & works from his home studio.
Michael is passionately inspired by nature and the environment. Particularly the outback of Australia & the oceans he is surrounded by. He is also blessed with a beautiful daughter, Emica where he is constantly inspired & encouraged to create amazing jewellery. Michael has always been excited by colour, which is the reason behind his love for the Australian opal.
